Lisa Wright is a visual artist who specializes in historic and alternative process photography. She received her MFA from the Visual Studies Workshop, and has a certificate in Photographic Preservation and Collections Management from the George Eastman Museum.
Lisa works in Digital Scholarship in Rush Rhees Library at the University of Rochester where she focuses on digital imaging and preservation of cultural heritage materials. She creates digital surrogates for the library's digital asset management system, and has been involved in projects such as ReEnvisioning Japan, Reading Blank Walls and Ward's Scientific. Her current interests involve imaging objects in methods that examine them beyond what the eye can see, using reflectance transformation imaging, photogrammetry, 3D scanning and infrared.
